Dinger Bot generates weekly recaps for your fantasy sports league. To do that, it reads data from your fantasy platform and sends part of it to an AI service that writes the recap. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, where it goes, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
This policy is written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.
We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising profiling, and we do not make automated decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
You can reach the person responsible for the protection of personal information at Dinger Bot at [email protected].
To read your league, Dinger Bot needs access to your fantasy account:
espn_s2 and SWID, which let us read leagues you can already see. These credentials are held in an encrypted session cookie in your own browser. They are not written to our database. Signing out, or letting the session expire, removes them. We never see or store your Yahoo, ESPN, or Sleeper password.
When you generate a recap, we read the current week's information from your league: the league name and settings, team names, the display names or nicknames of the managers in it, rosters, matchup results, standings, and recent adds, drops, and trades. This is what the recap is written from.
Some of this information is about other people in your league, not only you. We explain below how they can contact us.
We do not store the text of generated recaps on our servers after they are delivered to you, unless you choose to create a share link.
If you press "Share link" on a recap, we store that one recap (its text, the league name, sport, week, and tier) so that anyone with the link can read it without signing in. Share links are unlisted: they are not published anywhere and we tell search engines not to index them, but anyone who has the link can open it and pass it on. Shared recaps can include the team names and manager display names from your league, so only share a link with people you would show the recap to. Recaps written on the Degen tier are shown behind an 18+ notice.
Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout pages. Card numbers never reach our servers. Stripe collects your email address and billing details and processes them under its own privacy policy. We receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and the reference number.
Our hosting and network providers keep standard server logs, which include IP addresses, browser type, and the time of each request. These are used to keep the service running and secure, and to investigate abuse or errors.
Dinger Bot uses one cookie: an encrypted session cookie that keeps you signed in and holds your platform connection while you use the site. It is strictly necessary for the service to work and cannot be switched off without breaking sign-in. We do not currently use analytics, tracking, or advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run Dinger Bot:
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
All of the providers listed above operate primarily in the United States, so your information is stored and processed there. Privacy laws in the United States differ from those where you live, and in some circumstances foreign authorities may be able to compel access to data held there. We assess each provider before using it and rely on their contractual commitments to protect the information we send them.
When the purpose for holding something has been met and no law requires us to keep it, we delete it or anonymize it.
Traffic to and from the site is encrypted. Platform credentials are kept in a signed, HTTP-only session cookie instead of our database, which means a database breach would not expose your fantasy account. Administrator passwords are stored as salted hashes, administrator access is limited by role, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but the amount of sensitive information we hold is deliberately small.
We keep a record of privacy incidents. If an incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people affected and any regulator that applicable law requires us to notify.
You can ask us to:
Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your request, you can raise it with the privacy regulator responsible for your jurisdiction.
If a manager in your league uses Dinger Bot, your team name and display name may appear in that league's recaps, in any recap a manager chooses to share by link, and in our weekly standings snapshots. We take that information from the fantasy platform and do not combine it with anything else or use it for any other purpose. Email us and we will tell you what we hold and remove it where we can.
Dinger Bot is intended for adults. Do not use the service or provide information to us if you are under 18.
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders directly.
