Setup Guide

Connect your league, unlock it, hit generate. Five minutes once, thirty seconds a week after that.

  1. Connect your fantasy platform
  2. Unlock your league (or redeem a trial code)
  3. Generate your first recap
  4. Re-roll it, then send it
  5. Running it every week
  6. If something goes sideways

Connect your fantasy platform

Go to thedingerbot.com/dashboard. You'll see three ways in: Log in with Yahoo, Connect ESPN, and Connect Sleeper. Use whichever one your league lives on — you can connect more than one later from the Platforms panel.

You don't need to be the commissioner, and nobody else in your league has to do anything.

Yahoo

  1. Click Log in with Yahoo.
  2. Sign in on Yahoo's own page and approve the access request.
  3. You land back on the dashboard with your leagues listed. Nothing else to enter.

ESPN

  1. Click Connect ESPN (or + Add league next to ESPN in the Platforms panel).
  2. In another tab, open your league on fantasy.espn.com — team page, standings, scoreboard, any page inside the league works.
  3. Copy the URL from the address bar, paste it into League URL, and click Add league.

No link handy? Open Or enter league details manually and fill in the sport, your league ID, and the season instead.

Private ESPN leagues need two cookies. ESPN won't release the data otherwise, so the panel asks for them:

  1. Make sure you're logged in to fantasy.espn.com in the same browser.
  2. Right-click the page, choose Inspect, then open the Application tab (Chrome) or Storage tab (Firefox).
  3. In the sidebar, open Cookies → fantasy.espn.com.
  4. Copy the value of espn_s2 into the espn_s2 field.
  5. Copy the value of SWID — curly braces included, like {ABC-123...} — into the SWID field.
  6. Click Add league.

Without them, a private league returns nothing, and adds, drops and trades come back empty even if the rest works.

Sleeper

No password, no cookies — and NFL only.

  1. Click Connect Sleeper.
  2. Type your Sleeper username and click Find my leagues.
  3. Pick your league from the list. (You can paste a league link instead if you'd rather.)

Unlock your league

Connected leagues show up right away, but they start 🔒 Locked. Each league unlocks separately for the season, and you pick a style for each one.

StylePriceWhat you get
Professional $10 / league / season Studio show energy — witty, clean, quotable. Safe for the work league.
Degen $19.69 / league / season Sport-specific personas, zero filter, 18+. Same stats, unhinged delivery.

In the Unlock leagues panel on the left:

  1. Tick the box next to each league you want to unlock.
  2. Choose Professional or Degen in that league's dropdown.
  3. Click the button at the bottom of the panel — it turns into Pay $10.00 — Unlock 1 League once you've ticked something. Several leagues at once is fine; they go through one checkout.
  4. Pay on Stripe's secure checkout page. You come back with those leagues unlocked for the season.

Already on Professional and want the other one? The panel shows Upgrade to Degen — $19.69 for that league.

Trial code? Use it before checkout

A trial code is not entered on the Stripe page. It lives in the same Unlock leagues panel, under 🎟️ Have a trial code?

Open it, type your code, pick the one league to apply it to, and click Activate trial. Each code unlocks one league free for 30 days, and you can run up to three trial leagues on an account. The league's badge changes to ⏳ Trial with the days remaining.

Generate your first recap

  1. Under Your Leagues, click the league card you want. It highlights when selected.
  2. Under Choose your style, pick Professional or Degen. Degen asks you to confirm you're 18+ the first time.
  3. On Degen, set the Filth Level slider — 1 is mild, 8 is fully unhinged. It changes the language, never the stats.
  4. Click Generate Week Recap.

It usually takes 15–30 seconds. Leave the tab open while it runs; the recap appears on the page when it's done.

Which week you get

Dinger checks whether your matchup week has actually finished. If it's still in progress, you get the last completed week instead, so you never get a story built on Tuesday's half-finished box score. Once the week closes, generate again for the fresh one.

What's in it

The matchup result, the players who won you the week, the ones who quietly lost it, what your adds and drops actually did, where you sit in the standings and the playoff race, and the lineup mistake worth fixing. Written around your league's real scoring categories, whatever they happen to be.

Re-roll it, then send it

Every unlocked league gets one recap plus three re-rolls per week — four generations, resetting each week.

Not feeling the angle? Click 🎲 Re-roll. Same week, same data, genuinely different take — the counter next to the button shows what you have left.

Re-rolls change the voice, not the numbers. If a stat looks wrong, a re-roll won't fix it; see below.

When you've got the one you want:

Paste it somewhere your league will actually argue with it. That's the entire point.

Running it every week

After setup it's three clicks: open the dashboard, click the league, hit generate. You're already logged in and already paid for the season.

SportBest time to generate
NHL · MLB · NBAMonday morning, once Sunday's games are final
NFLTuesday morning, after Monday Night Football

Run it too early and you'll get last week's recap back — that's the week detection protecting you, not a bug.

Pick a slot and keep it. The leagues that get the most out of this post the recap in the same place at the same time every week, and the arguing starts before anyone's opened the box score.

Multiple leagues: click a different league card and generate again. Each league keeps its own style, its own weekly re-rolls, and its own recaps — a Professional recap for the work league and a Degen one for your friends on the same morning is completely normal.

Next season: unlocks cover one league for one season. When a new season starts, unlock that league again.

If something goes sideways

My league isn't listed. Check you're signed in to the account that owns the team. On ESPN, a private league won't appear until espn_s2 and SWID are in.

It gave me last week. The current week hadn't closed yet. Generate again once it has.

Nothing about my trades or waiver moves. On ESPN that section needs the two cookies above. Re-add the league with both and generate again.

The generate button says Locked. That league hasn't been unlocked yet, or you've picked Degen on a league that's only unlocked at Professional — the unlock panel will show the upgrade.

No recaps left this week. You've used all four generations for that league. The counter resets next week.

A stat looks wrong. Don't burn a re-roll on it. Email [email protected] with the league, sport, and week.

That's the whole thing

Connect, unlock, generate. Your league does the rest.
